My built thread of my 97 txt. Lift Install.
I picked up my TXT last week. It's batteries are basically shot but I have gotten them to take a charge and they will run 6 to 8 miles now so I have let them bee for the moment but will replace them soon.
First here is a pic of it as I got it. Next several posts I will cover the install the Steeleng 6" drop axle for those in the future who find it or for those who have not lifted a cart before and like to see a few pictures of it. |

Haha. My wifi is so slow it's painful. And I never remember when I'm around for work to use cell signal. There is almost no signal at the house so I can't even do that.
I promise to start today with some pics. |

Re: My built thread of my 97 txt. Lift Install.
The first few pics show me pulling everything off. Everything went very easy here. I won't explain every single detail cause I think we all know how to pull wheels and hubs off etc. These kingpins were run a bit low on grease and had very very fine marks on them...not rough enough to even use Emory cloth. This was my old step granddad cart who didn't pat attention to small stuff. But they had signs of being greased.
So anyway a few pics along the process and then with the tires back installed . I do like the ease of the 2001 and down kit vs the later 4 bolt steering column where the steering rack is on the axle. Will update some more in a bit. My son and I are outside playing. |
