Default Radio drain battery?

My used cart has a CD player installed...doesn't that drain the battery pack when the cart is off since it requires power to maintain the channel presets?

Smile Re: Radio drain battery?

Such a small drain...it would take a month without being on any charger...unless you have it wired directly to a single battery.

Pretty sure it's on the whole pack because there is a voltage reducer.

The batteries drain 100 times faster by themselves (about 1% a day) so don't worry about drain keeping the presets alive. Many radios have flash memory for that now anyway.

Thanks for the info...I think this is an older radio - but I'll probably upgrade to one with bluetooth... I may go the portable bluetooth speaker route so I can take in to the pool.
