CC guy has EZGO TXT question.
EZGO guys I need some help. My 85 year old neighbor has a 2000 EZGO TXT Standard 36 Volt. His batteries are about 2 years old and the voltage is good. I see a lot of corrosion on the cables. I told him I would replace the cables and clean things up for him but I noticed there is no run/tow switch. I hesitated to disconnect anything until I found out more. Is there anything I need to know before disconnecting the batteries? I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: CC guy has EZGO TXT question.
No Run/Tow switch means it is a series drive system. Just turn key off and shift to neutral before you R&R the cables.

Re: CC guy has EZGO TXT question.
Thanks Johnnie, I just wanted to make sure. The last thing I want is to smoke a controller while trying to help someone.
