42 volts on a 36 volt system?
I have an old solenoid style set up. Could I add one more 6 volt battery to the line up? Has anyone tried this and not fried their solenoids?

Re: 42 volts on a 36 volt system?
You can do it i had a post on here how to add the extra batteries ,The main thing is to move the power wire that feeds the micro switch off the forward reverse switch to the battery that has the 36 volt which is the fordward cable on the forward reverse switch. This way the solenoid has the same 36 volt signal and the motor has 42 or what ever you add i did 12 volts for 48.that cable that goes to the fordward lug on the directional swich will go to the negative post on the battery you added the the positve goes to fordward lug on switch.
