Default Best Charger for the money

We just picked up our "new to us" EZGO manufacture refurbished '13 TXT series car (new Powertron Batteries). The dealer explained that the charger did not come with a maintenance (trickle charge) capability (Delta-Q QUI charger).

She said the charger was made for use at a golf course. We were told it was best to charge the batteries then un-plug the system.

I'm thinking the best thing for the batteries is some sort of trickle charge set up. Perhaps a new, more modern type charger.

Is anyone familiar with my charger setup and how to best utilize it...???

Should I buy another / better charger...???

What is the best charger for the money ...???

I found out there are modes for your QuiQ that have float mode. Some dealers can change the mode for you, while others say it can't be done (it can, I have). Unfortunately the factory EZGO quiq charger only has one slot out of the available ten slots filled with profiles.

cgtech, Thanks for your response. Can you point to which direction I can achieve getting my QuiQ charger to charge and maintain (trickle charge).

If this is possible, I may not have to purchase a new charger.

Thanks to all for your posts.....
