Now when you turn it on, forward or reverse, step on the gas, solenoid clicks and about 5 seconds later it clicks off, if you let off and press it down again, same thing, clicks on then clicks off...any ideas

What is the voltage on the Controller side Solenoid big post when the Solenoid clicks?

If the voltage on the Controller side of the Solenoid (Yellow Cable) goes up to pack voltage then the solenoid contacts are good.

The next thing to verify is if You have throttle signal.

Since you said the cart had been idle for a while, start by pressing the pedal all the way down and up about 50 times, that will help dislodge any surface oxidation on the MCOR tracks.

Always remember to raise one rear wheel off the ground when troubleshooting a cart.

Measure the voltage on the Controller 16-pin Connector pin #2 (Yellow wire) as You press the pedal.

The voltage should vary from 0-5v, please post your actual values.

Here is the wiring diagram for your cart:

Starts out at .620v goes to 4.70v steady increase... I've probably pressed the pedal at least 100 times..

That 0.62v is high for the low end, it should be around 0.3v, but since the solenoid is clicking, it must not be triggering an HPD fault.

Measure the Voltage from Controller M- to B- terminals as You press the pedal.

The voltage should start near pack voltage after the Solenoid clicks and go down to near 0v at pedal down.

Please post your actual voltages.

M- to B- 50.3 volts I only have about 5 seconds to check volts, so I just pushed it all the way down and voltage goes up to 51.6

It appears the Controller is bad since you have throttle input but no output.

The reason the voltage went up is that on M- you were basically measuring the voltage at the Controller B+ terminal across a very low resistance Motor armature and the voltage at B+ goes up when the solenoid closes.

I will be using this cart for everything, not "rock climbing" or "mud racing" do you have a recommendation? Its a nice cart, but want to keep it within reason...
