Default brake adjustement

How do you adjust the brake on a 2011 yamaha drive? when I set the brake on a slight grade it will not hold. the cart will roll not fast but will not stay parked. Thank you

Under the floor mat is a access panel to get to the brake pedal. The adjuster is there. You will need 2 14mm wrenches.

Ill add to CGTechs answer- don't go too tight. Yamahas like to have some travel in there brake pedal. A couple of turns and give it a try to see if it holds.

I forgot about that part...... The top of the pedal should be able to move 1.75" with light pressure before pedal stops. Too tight will kill the brakes.

I have another brake question on my 2011 Yamaha drive, would you recommend changing the gear oil? would that help with braking also? I read where you should use Yamalube friction modified gear oil. 1.5 quarts. Just want to get some of your feedback and recommendations. thank you!

The differential fluid will need changed at some point. I check the look of the fluid at every service interval....If it starts to get dark and look like a ground up #2 pencil, change it. If you start to get noise right as the cart comes to a stop, change it, that's a sure sign the fluid is contaminated.
Yes you can use the yama lube, that will work. Other products will work also

The service manual says every 4 years, but I consider that a minimum. Team axles with their internal brakes are pretty hard on the fluid. I actually think every 2 years would have been a better interval for that axle.
