Default Click click click and no go!

I'm new to this but pretty handy. My 89 ds has no power to move cart when batteries are fully charged. Just makes a click noise ( the same as when batteries get run down while travelling ). What and how should I check, and please don't say the batteries as they are like new. Full amp and volts! Thanks in advance

I'm sure you have checked the batteries, but I think a bad connection of one of the cables could make it act like weak batteries. You should be able to almost lift the battery pulling on a battery cable. They can corode under the lug and lose connection. Also any of the key wires or other wires could be like that. Just something to check in case you have not already done so.

Check the solenoid. See if you are getting power to it and if you have voltage going out after it closes. (You may want to say what style (series, regen) your cart is and the voltage)

It’s probably a resistor cart if it’s an ‘89. On mine (an ‘88 ) I had constant problems with the resistors melting the wiring, and I also had frequent problems with the wiper switch.

And I’ve had to replace my solenoid.

Like mentioned early check solenoid. Sounds like same problem I had. Do you have 5 solenoids and spring like resistors?
