Default Motor selection???

Good morning all,

I am looking for a new motor for my 2000 Club Car DS with stock motor. I recently upgraded my wire harness from regen II to IQ, 2 awg wires, and Alltrax XCT 48500 controller. I have two specifics I'm looking for with a motor upgrade but may be off on expectations. I would like more of a torque motor but also something that will do 25 mph other than just down hill. Am I out of my mind thinking this is possible? Please chime in with your experiences/opinions.

More info on your IQ cart please.
3. What size tires are on the cart?
4. How many people ride on the cart?
5. Cargo Box or trailer?
6. Is the electrical system 36 or 48 volts?
7. What top speed is desired?
8. Is the used on or off the road?
9. Is the terrain hilly? If yes, steep or mild hills?
10. Is the footing sandy or muddy?

I upgraded to an Admiral torque motor on my Precedent and consistently reach over 25 mph. 23 tires, XCT 48500 alltrax controller, heavy duty solenoid, and 2 awg battery cables. My fastest speed with the GPS was 27 mph, very slight down hill, that is the longest straight away at my campground.

I love the torque, it can spin the tires at take off, climbs very very steep hills no problem, and still will out run all the golf carts at my campground.

I bought it all from Dave @ Revolution Golf Cars, Scotty can help too!

Thank you! That's where I got my controller from. I was looking at the Admiral A4 through him, but there's a couple other motor I'm considering. David is a great guy and has taken very good care of me, really the only thing I'm considering outside of the Admiral is the plumquick

Tires are 22 inch, anywhere from 1 to 4 people in the car at a time, there's a rear seat, 48 volts, 25 mph or so, on and off road in a hilly area, pills are mild to Steve, and the terrain is dirt grass and sand… And lots of snow and ice depending on the season.

For steep hills and bigger tires I would go with the MOT-A4
A2 might be okay if you never put a rear seat on it.

Definitely have a rear seat and don't plan on taking it off. Was also considering the plumquick. What do you think I'd get top end on the A4?

There are 2 maps for this motor, one provides more torque and less speed and the other more speed and less torque. I see 27-28 mph with the speed map BUT - it the speed map is not recommended for bigger tires. The FSIP A3 speed motor can do the bigger tires and runs out at 27 on stock 18" tires - I hope this helps
