2013 48 volt s6 can't find speed upgrades
Hello everyone. I have used this site many times but now I have a question I can't find the answer too. I have a 2013 L6 48 volt. I can't find any speed enhancements. I can't find a controller or a motor upgrade. It is a sepex cart and the regular 48 volt items don't work. Has anyne solved this? I realize I can have it programmed for 17mph but that isn't enough. I only ride 2 adults at the most. % of the time it's just myself and my 2 young sons. Thanks
Model 1268-5411 is the controller and my serial # is 3027255 for the cart |

I've spoken to someone and it looks as if Navitas makes a 600 amp controller I'm going to try out. Anyone used this?

I have purchased 3 alltrax XCT's from scotty but the cart I'm building now isn't compatible with anything he sells. It sucks bc I really like the XCT and the help I've received from scotty.

Re: 2013 48 volt s6 can't find speed upgrades
The most important aspect of matching a higher performance controller to a SepEx motor is the availability of maps that can match the controller outputs to the motor inputs and make the most of what you have available. I can tweak modern Curtis controllers to enhance performance beyond the preset E-Z-GO limits, but without a correct map, it's not going to match up with what the motor needs for best performance.

Re: 2013 48 volt s6 can't find speed upgrades
So there is no way to get unlock the sepex Curtis 1268-5411 to go faster than 16?
I'm having the same speed problem Or Lack of speed. The 1268 manual states that the 1268 is capable of 40kph So roughly low 20's mph. I'm stumped!!! |

This controller is easily identified by the 24 pin connector from the wire harness to the controller. The Alltrax 16 pin connector is no match for this controller.

Just to let everyone know I put the 600 amp navitas and sent my motor off to get worked on. It now does 27 mph on stock tires and 29 with a 6 inch lift and 23 inch tires.

Re: 2013 48 volt s6 can't find speed upgrades
I have a 500 amp alltrax with a admiral mot B motor. On slightly bigger than standard tires mine goes 29mph and has nice TQ. Very happy with this set up. My car is not lifted, any faster and it would get sketchy IMO.
