That is not necessarily true. We have a 2010 Precedent with speed Code 3 went from about 15 to about 19MPH with just 23" tires (on 14" rims, BTW). That is why I asked. If he is running 23", the dealer may not have put in Code 4.

Now, getting a dealer to install Code 4 knowing his tire diameter will put him over 20MPH might be a different problem.

Okay well, 23" tires reduce torque by 25%. Stock 225 peak amps reduced by 25% never thrilled me much.
Amperage is like voltage, once you go up you will never go back.

I know everyone's mileage can vary but my Onward with code 4 would do 20, occasionally hit 21 with 23" tires. And I watched the dealer program the code 4 it had a watered down code 4 stock to limit it to 19 so it was a slight improvement. Installed an Alltrax 500 and now it will do 25 all day long and get to 20 fairly quick. Might go faster if I really crank it up but I have not touched the settings that Scottyb sent it to me with the 3 mode switch. I think in the most aggressive mode, the rpm is limited to 5700 or 5800 since I have the stock motor still.
