Default Dpi accusense

Hello, I recently upgraded my EZGO TXT from 36v to 48vand love it!!! Brand new 6-8v Trojan T-875's. I purchased a DPI Accusense charger. My question is when not it use should I leave the cart plugged in ALL the time. I know the charger has a battery maintainer built in and I believe it keeps the batteries around 50v all the time. So I am good just to leave it plugged in all the time even if the cart isn't used for a couple months? Thanks

Yes, that is what it is designed to do. It can't maintain your pack if it is unplugged. One safety to protect the charger is plug it into a surge protector if you are not near the cart to help protect from lightning storms.

Yes, you can leave it plugged up all the time. It does a float charge to keep your batteries maintained.

It float charges after the regular charge cycle ends and initiates a regular charge cycle every 28 Days, so it is designed to maintain batteries for extended periods of non-use.

Be sure to check electrolyte level before putting cart into storage. (The is no gassing during float charge, but it does go int a regular charge cycle monthly, so some water will be used.)

For Trojan batteries, the nominal on-charge voltage during float charge is 52.5V and each battery should be 6.57V.

For optimal battery performance and lifespan, the charger should be plugged into cart whenever cart is not being driven.

even though you won't be using it.....its a good practice to check the battery water levels on a periodic basis. If you are going to be a way and not able to check them, the last time you use it, ensure they are topped off.

I always check at least every 2 weeks, once a week when im using it a lot. I don't think it will ever sit for more than 2 or 3 weeks without using it lol

For Trojan brand batteries, up to about 54V is fine for float charge
