Just put the cart on the charger and will run a couple cycles today. Will test with hydrometer later or tomorrow

Voltage drop of 28 under load from 44 indicates a problem. Try this same test with the voltmeter attached to each individual battery. If you are lucky there is just 1 or 2 real bad ones.

I just pulled it off the charger long enough to test each battery under load. There was one that dipped down lower than the rest, and it was my 7th added battery, which was added a couple months after I got my 6 new and figured out I wanted to go to 42v. This is the only one that is a knock off crown brand too. Six battery’s read between 5.3-5.45, then the outlier got down to 4.7

If that 7th added battery is not rated for the same amp hours as the others, that would definitely be your problem. It's dragging your other batteries down under load to it's lower amp hour reading.

Not very good ju-ju to mishmash batteries with different specs.

Did you move your charger wire when installing 7th battery? May not be necessary depending where the new battery was placed, but gotta ask. You are using a 42v charger, right?

Battery was placed where I didn’t have to move charger wiring. And yes, running a 42v dpi. I decided to replace batteries with Trojans.
