Reverse is intermittant

I have a 2004 TXT with PDS, runs great in forward. When I change switch to reverse it sometimes will not stay engaged. When I depress the pedal it will barely activate and then disingage. Replaced motor and controller four years ago.

check the switch - swap the top and bottom wires.
if the problem changes direction replace the switch.
If the problem disappears - put the wires back where they belong - it had a dirty connection.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives’, husbands, girlfriend’s and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

Thanks ScottyB. I did what you recommended (switched the wires), however since it only happened intermittantly, there is no way to tell if that is the problem. I left the wires switched and the switch itself loose so now I will just have to wait to see it happens in forward.
