PowerWise Charger Condenser value
Thanks to the experts in other threads I found my 3 mfd capacitor in my PowerWise II charger is bad. I found a good buy on a 4 mfd on Ebay and seller says it is an upgrade and will work better. Anyone have information on this?

Re: PowerWise Charger Condenser value
That's total BS! Only use the original value capacitor. The capacitor is like a tuning device for the transformer. Any other will give different charge characteristics that you (not an electrical engineer trained in transformer tuning) can control. Don't do it. The charge profile of the charger is tuned by the capacitor, and a $800 set of batteries is not worth experimenting with. 2mf drift on the cap makes a HUGE difference in charger output (+/- 1mf from original value), don't play stupid games. Stupid games win stupid prizes.

Re: PowerWise Charger Condenser value
Thank you CGTech. I will use only the 3 mfd as you suggest.
