Default 2008 PDS rear end question

I got a 2008 PDS that I’m working on and the DRIVERS side hub was making a fuss and had significant wear and no movement on the cart. I replaced the hub and the cart now moves. The question I have is why can I hold the PASSENGER side axle/hub with my hand and it not turn when I hit the gas with the rear end in the air? It feels like it’s just spinning inside the differential. Are these semi posi traction? Anyone??

Standard open differential operation. Allows the inside wheel in a turn to rotate at a different speed than than the outside wheel. If not for the diff the inside wheel would scrub during a turn and resist the car turning at all. Also known as understeer or "push".

I guess my next question is since the cart is running with the new hub and axle it’s good to go and doesn’t need an entire rear end?

based on what you have said, not likely. The cart drives normally, yes?
