Pot Box - 10K Ohms when floored
I have a 1994 EZ GO Marathon - Electric
When i press the throttle lightly it goes fast....and when I put the gas pedal on the floor it stalls....I tested the pot box and got 10k Ohms in Forward and 3k in reverse....so I know its bad. I was going to shorten the linkage so that I could use the gas pedal to the floor....is there anything wrong with this? Or should I just order a new pot box? It says PB-15 on the side....would a PB-6 work? Any advice on where I should order them? The price is about 100$ shipped I found this one online that might work... https://www.pricefalls.com/product/e...d=246386071666 |

Re: Pot Box - 10K Ohms when floored
Your pot box is probably shot. Any 0-5k pot box will work but - only a 4 wire pot like the PB 15-16 type will have the second pair of wires that go to the F&R micro switch and when connected to each other reduce the pots signal 50% for reverse.
Hope this helps |
