Default High/Low selector

I have a 2004 EZGO TXT 36v with a high/ low selector that is down below my drivers side seat. It resembles the F/R type selector. I'm trying to find a new one because one of the lugs has now worked itself loose but I can't seem to locate anything that resembles what I have. The guy that used to work on my cart retired and closed his shop so I'm looking for help.

That is interesting to say the least. Looks like a Club Car series FNR switch. Does it work? Do the cables go to the motor? (Some sort of field weakening to make it faster?)

It changes the cart from a speed cart to a pulling cart. I use the cart to pull a heavy trailer around the prison I work in and when not pulling the trailer it allows me to travel at higher speeds. I'm almost positive he said it changes the carts wiring somehow. On the speed setting the cart runs around 30mph and the other setting around 12-13 mph. Cart has a 6 inch lift and 22" street tires with 95% of my driving on asphalt.

That’s quite the speed increase! It’s a club Car DS series FNR selector that was used there.

Yep, get a Club car F&R to fix that. It's a unique series motor setup to have a torque, and a speed mode. There are other examples of it on here. Just can't find it right this minute.

EMP used to sell a motor with this option. Maybe they still do.

They do - Be sure to tag and photo all the cables on the F&R BEFORE you take anything off.

I'll be taking it to the new shop and they'll be doing the work. This cart belongs to the State so therefore I don't take any chances of tearing anything up.
