Default Cart parts plus 200 rpm clutch spring

Hello I was needing a little bit of guidance on the 200rpm spring for my club car. I have the clutch remove off of the cart. on step 4(photo below) it says to hold outside of Clutch and tap puller to remove cover. I am a little confused by this step does the outside separate from the inner shell? I have been trying to separate it and fear that I am going to damage it so I wanted to reach out for some assistance. I have attached a picture of what I am working with thus far. Any help is greatly appreciated. I tried emailing "Tom" as the instructions indicated, but the email bounced back as an unknown receiver. I have done some searching on this site and a few others and this does not seem like a very common modification?

I had to use a puller to separate the two halves of the clutch.

A 3 bolt puller will screw into the 5/16” threads with the center bolt applies pressure to the bolt you have threaded into the clutch.

It was quite easy after I found the correct tool.

By 3 bolt puller do you mean like a harmonic balancer puller?

Yep something like that!
I think I used a 3 bolt steering wheel puller to remove the cover.

A quick follow up on the bounced back email...
Tom, a very good and longtime friend on this forum passed away from a tragic accident 2 years ago,
His brother Bruce is doing his very best to fill his shoes!

Hopefully CPP/Dixie Sales will get the email address corrected soon!

I am very sorry to hear that. Thank you for the clarification on the puller.
