Tubing should be as thick or thicker then original frame.
Thicker always better on these repairs 😊

Hey!!! Nice break!! (Kidding) That's an easy fix for a decent welder. I would suggest the repair metal go at least 4" to each side of the break....and of course, tubular in structure.

Post the finish pics!! And if you got 'em...smoke 'em...no wait!! If you can take interim pics post them as well!!

BTW, my cart is used primarily for hunting. I traverse rough terrain and at times I hit "stuff" that I can't see. (That's how it broke in the first place....Cart vs ditch at 10mph...ditch won!) When my crack occurred I did not have my Jakes LT front end installed.

I dunno. I've never had to look.

But what's wrong with the one in the pic? I can't tell as I can't see it in person, but if it's just surface rust, and good wire brushing followed by some brush on Rusteolum paint will likely make it last longer than you may want it to.

If it's a few places where rust thru has occurred, have it patch welded and again, paint with some good rust-proof paint and away you go.

But it's tough to say without a physical inspection. Ask a weld guy for an opinion.
