Re: Series with PDS Electrics ?
You don't even know the difference between Ezgo drive systems yet you know what a cart is or isn't worth... typical among the Flipper clan
And this is what people are up against when they CL shop for carts. Hopefully somebody who needs a cart will find this and buy it |

Re: Series with PDS Electrics ?
How many times have I seen posted "The easiest way to tell
what kind of cart drive system one has is does it have forward/ reverse switch on the dash or lever by the knees ?" Hardly if ever after that sentence does one say "Except for the DCS system." What is a 21 year old cart worth in this area market ? Now if I were near The Villages in FL, different story. I tell you it isn't worth sitting on for a year or so having 50+ people ask "what's your bottom dollar?" or "I wouldn't give ya $1000 even if it was brand new" responses. Not waiting for the "right" customer to come along just so one can break even on investment of a controller and any unforeseen mechanical repairs. A PDS400 Alltrax XCT with 2 gauge wiring 400 amp solenoid kit is what $750+ w shipping ? Let's say at max $2200 total investment not counting any labor. You know the current owner isn't going to let a prospective buyer start taking rear wheel assemblies off to check brakes or take diff plug out to look at diff fluid oil condition. |

Re: Series with PDS Electrics ?
Reading the Stickies is the number one way I've seen posted for determining drive types. And if you look at my post, I said (paraphrasing) "there ain't no @#$%^& series FNR". Hell, just a casual interest here would have given you that info about DCS vs. series.

Re: Series with PDS Electrics ?
Y'all are always right.
There is no way anyone could have missed the 1995-2000 Sepex carts having a forward reverse switch by the knees and the run tow switch on the controller. Investing $2000 in a cart to sell for $2200 is a very wise thing to do. Was suggested rewiring that cart to a PDS would be an improvement over the DCS drive system. I would tend to believe help over fault finding anyday. I'd get better a return on brown chicken eggs than 10% profit. I see posters come on here not knowing the difference between 6 volt and 8 volt batteries or what corrosion does to FNR contacts and it's kind helpfulness. Others ask something "that should have been known" and they don't know a ditch from a shovel. Series carts are better anyway. Carry on. |

Re: Series with PDS Electrics ?
These are 2012 models for $1800
Can't sell a 1998 DCS for around $2000+ after investing parts alone and owner wants $1200 FIRM. |
