Need Help With Speed Controller Issue

I believe what I own is a EZGO TXT with a DCS drive system. I have attached some pictures to see if you can confirm that. The name plate has been removed (before I owned it), so I have no way of knowing the year model. I have owned the cart for about 3 years. It is a 36v model. About a year after I purchased it the speed controller went out in it. I sent it off to be repaired. About a year after that, the speed controller went out again, and that is where I am now. I am not sure what is causing this, and I am looking for some feedback, and some parts to resolve this. Could it be that the larger tires and lift kit cause problems for the stock controller? There is one other thing. Shortly after purchasing the cart, I installed a headlight/tail light kit. The kit came with instructions but no part identification, and a connection to one of the parts (a little black box I have pictured in this message) broke off. I am not sure what the part is, but not having it doesn't affect the operation of the lights. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Just a quick follow up on my post above. After I sent you the message this weekend, I decided to go clean up the cart, and charge the batteries. After charging the batteries, Eureka! the cart started working, but with one difference, it wouldn't go with the accelerator all the way in, only with it partially depressed. It worked fine for a couple of days like this, and as of today, I am back to where I was, and the cart will not go at all. I can hear the solenoid clicking when I push in the accelerator, and the battery is showing charged, but the motor will not turn. Hopefully this helps with my troubleshooting so I can purchase the correct parts.
