5 solenoid club car
Is it possible to take a old DS cart with 5 solenoids and change them to big 48 volt solenoids?

Are you wanting to do this so you can run 48v worth of batteries? I suppose it could work...

The 36v solenoids would work fine since You can wire their coil negatives to +12v to still provide +36v at the coils.
The issue is the resistors are not sized to handle the additional power/heat they would be subjected to. at 48v. |
