Default Throttle issues on 05 Precedent

Good afternoon,
This is my first post as I am a new member. I have a 2005 Club Car precedent and have been experiencing issues with the throttle/accelerator. One minute it is working fine and then it will shift to about 1mph. Occasionally, if I feather the gas peddle it will start working again but not always.

I bought a new MCOR on Amazon about 3 months ago and it worked at first but then the issue started again. I ended up contacting a Club car dealer and bought another MCOR but OEM this time. Just installed it and it worked great for the first 3-4 minutes but then the issues started right back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Brian

Sounds like a faulty MCOR again. Are you 100% certain the part you got from the dealer was OEM?

The dealer told me that all products are OEM so I just took there word. The first one I ordered on amazon worked well for weeks and then the issue started back.

I read numerous threads where people said I need OEM which is the reason I decided to buy another "OEM" MCOR. I'm not very mechanical so have a hard time understanding why it would work for a period of time and then just stop?

Any other suggestions? Thanks!

You may have a faulty speed sensor or cracked magnet. They can be intermittent.

Have you tested the MCOR signal or done a field test on the speed sensor?

Manually roll the cart forwards and backwards and and see if you get resistance and hear it beeping.

I have not tested the MCOR signal or speed signal and honestly not sure how. I have a meter reader but just don't know where to begin.

When rolling the cart, I'm assuming I keep it in "run" mode versus "tow"?

I will check the magnet shortly. I did replace this when I got the cart for speed. I will put the original back in and see if I can narrow this down.

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. Just leave it exactly as you do when you park it, but release the brake and manually push it forwards and backwards. You should feel resistance and hear the beeping.

Following this as it sounds similar to my issue. I had to push my cart off of the road. There was resistance & tone similar to the Reverse tone. '08 Precedent. Next?

You test the MCOR like this. With the batteries connected, key switch Off, Tow/Run switch in Run; place the black (–) probe on packs main Negative post and the red (+) probe on the yellow wire at the 3-pin connector near the MCOR. (The reading should be approximately ~0.32vdc to ~0.5vdc with the pedal up). Slowly press the Go Pedal and the readings should increase until it reaches ~4.65vdc or more when the pedal is fully pressed. (Anything less than 4.60vdc and you are not reaching full throttle). If the reading is erratic or jumps all over the place it is a bad MCOR potentiometer..... Get one here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/mcors

If you do not find your answers here you may want to start your own thread as to avoid confusion.
