Default 2010 electric Precedent, new cart, intermittent and jerkey

We just purchased a 2010 electric Precedet that had been parked with dead batteries for several years. The cart looks neglected but not abused. I put in new Trojan batteries. The first time I tried to run it it just shuddered a little. Eventually after many tries it started moving but with a shudder like a car with a very chattery clutch. Eventually it started running much better but with a hesitation feeling, like the speed was going up and down. Last night I took it for a short ride it ran well, until it stopped and didn’t want to go further than a few feet at a time. I let it cool off for about 10 minutes and was able to run it back home. Is it likely that the cart just has problems from sitting and needs to be run, or are there other places I should be looking. I’ve worked on my ez-go carts, but this is my first club car.
Thanks
Bill

Seems like the brushes in the motor might be stuck or worn out. Give the motor a few taps with a small hammer near the back end of the case.

If not that then possibly the MCOR (throttle sensor) could be bad.

Try pressing the go pedal 25 to 30 times fast key off...This wipes the mcor..If the cart runs better after that it might be the problem as Fairtax stated...
