Questions on 1995 series cart
Earlier this year I bought a 1995 Medalist . I don't know any history of the cart other than the person I got it from said the controller was fired and I mean fried because someone had actually broke it apart. to look inside
I found a used 4-blade series controller three months ago that I knew worked . This week I decided to see what all would be needed before I see if I want to fix or part out. I had batteries I could try in it so I installed them along with used controller. I found the micro-switch under mat was bad so I stuck a good used one I had on it. I can now hear the micro switch click when I push pedal so I start checking the wiring and I think I got everything correct. I had also checked the motor last week using a 12 volt battery and it worked. I now connect all batteries and now I am ready to see if things work. I push pedal with key on and I see a spark around the solenoid and I smelled burnt wires . I try again and no spark and it runs both forward and reverse while jacked up. I think I found the spark problem as the diode was burned up on solenoid. Anything else I should know before ordering new diode ? Picture I included was before I removed solenoid so diode looks good |
