Re: How to wire up LED lights without Converter
The cost of another 12 volt battery would exceed a voltage reducer at my shop...seems like more of a headache to charge separately anyway...

Re: How to wire up LED lights without Converter
Some people reason it's a good option because they're worried about the DC converter "stealing some of their range".

Re: How to wire up LED lights without Converter
Seems extra weight would do that more than speakers and lights. Not to mention trouble of charging, etc

Re: How to wire up LED lights without Converter
A separate battery is really no big deal. I have one for my winch, lights and other electric needs. Its really not too much extra work to plug in the Battery tender when I plug the cart in. The weight is negligible.

Re: How to wire up LED lights without Converter
Just curious as to what battery you use for that? I have a battery I took out of my classic truck, that I'm not going to reuse, because I'm swapping engines, and the battery is nearly brand new. Thought about using that for 12VDC shtuff.

Re: How to wire up LED lights without Converter
I've got a group 27 Wal-Mart marine battery in the cart. I can work the snot out of the winch with that battery. I just plug in a Battery Tender when I charge the cart at night.
