Yes, it does

If so, measure the voltage between the controller's B- and M- terminals.
Slowly press pedal.
Should measure full battery pack voltage when solenoid clicks.
I so, voltage ought to smoothly decrease to 0V as pedal is pressed to floor.
If it doesn't decrease to 0V, the throttle or the controller is bad.

We get full pack voltage when solenoid clicks, but no decrease in voltage when pressing to the floor.

If full pack voltage is not measured, there is an open in the high amp circuit (thick cables).
I plan on removing the controller in the morning, so I can get the model, number off of it. Like I stated before, I have another controller, but not sure if it a series controller. It only has 3 large terminals on it, and mine has 4. Hey, thanks again for your guidance. Also, the only reason I said it was a Freedom, was the decals on the side of the cart, and the horn, taillights, and state,of charge gauge on it.

Ok, we performed the test on the controller. When hooked up and solenoid activated, we only get about 35v. When we press the pedal voktage does not decrease, we also get out,of range readings on the throttle.

Ok, this is the controller that I have. Could I possibly use the 03 controller,in its place ? It is a 25864G05 Curtis controller.

Attached is what the ITS voltages for a 1205 controller should be.

Yes the 25864G05 controller should work, but you are replacing a 400A controller with a 275A controller.

The 3 terminal controller does not have an A2 terminal, so bolt the two cables attached to it together and insulate the connection. (The A2 terminal was for plug braking, which is needed in fork lifts, but not in golf carts)

Go with an Alltrax SR48400 or larger (500A or 600A) user programmable controller.
https://www.cartsunlimited.net/alltrax-sr-series--.html

The SR also works with 42V and 48V if you want more torque and more speed.

Ok, we put the controller back into the cart. Now when we hit the pedal, yhe tires start moving, but at full, speed with the solenoid barely activated. Then the wheels start slowing down to a crawl. We checked the ITS voltage and we get .4v with solenoid activated and no change with pedal down all the way.

Have you tried replacing the ITS sensor? The $25 ones work as well as the $100 ones.

Also, is your friend's controller exactly the same model number (1205-117) ???
