Worth using PowerWise II charger?
Was just given a 2006 TXT, had to fix some microswitches, but it moves under its own power now. Plan to use it to cart stuff around the farm, nothing crazy. The batteries it came with appear to be refurbs and are in fairly sad shape, and there is one odd battery among the six, though the cart runs. My local battery distributor has a sale going on Crown 220Ah for $115, and I'm going to pick up six new ones.
The cart came with two PowerWise II chargers and both seem to work fine. My question is, how much am I leaving on the table by using the PWII with the new batteries? I am aware of proper watering and care of batteries, but am I giving up a lot by not using a newer processor controlled multistage charger? I've been eyeing the Summit II, but by the time I have one shipped to Hawaii, I'm most of the way to another set of batteries. |

Re: Worth using PowerWise II charger?
The Powerwise 2 will work perfectly fine with the new batteries, as you stated proper care for the batteries makes a lot more difference than what charger you are using if it is working correctly...
