Replacing Batteries every couple of months

I have a 2000 48v club car that is lifted and has 12" tires. I constantly have to replace batteries every few months. I do have a driveway that is a decent-sized slope that will climb 3 or 4 times a day. Are the big tires and steep driveway what is killing the batteries or do I have something else going on. I have looked at all the connections and they seem to be in good condition no corrosion and tight. Any thing else I can test would be greatly appreciated thanks!

What batteries are you using (brand & model). Are you charging after every use? Water checked regularly? Good batteries that are well maintained should last 5-7 years.

1st thing that comes to mind is how are you maintaining your
batteries?

The best practice woud be to put your batteries on charge nightly
and let them stay on charge through the night until next use.

Perhaps even better during the middle of your day when you return
back from your routine...

The reason for this is to prevent the lead plates from crusting over with
sulfide which will keep the acid from lead plates thus reducing the
batteries's performance.

List make and model of cart, batteries AND charger being used.

Something is very wrong here! Batteries should not die that fast unless you are killing them!

So to answer a few questions. It gets charged nightly when done using. Batteries are Interstate batteries. The make and model of the cart was in my post but it is Club Car DS 2000 model as for the charger I am not sure what model or brand it is I will have to get that info.

Baja brad is right on asking about the charger. I suspect either your original charger or OBC is failing or failed, and either under or overcharging the batteries. Failed OBC will usually overcharge them.

If you have An aftermarket charger, make sure your OBC is bypassed. I just remove it from the cart completely. And make sure it’s not one of those cheese $80 jobbers on Amazon or eBay. You need at LEAST a 15 amp charger to keep the batteries healthy.

Also let us know what model and Amp-Hour rating of Interstates you are using. From a quick look online, Interstate makes 4 different models of Golf Cart batteries.

There have been some cases where non Golf Cart batteries have been used in carts ... generally with poor results

Can you give more info on batteries? What voltage, year, amp hours, etc

So what exactly does the OBC actually do and am I just bypassing where the charger connection goes.
