I apologize could you explain a little more on how to check the 2 diodes on the adapter harness? Are you just saying to check for continuity across all points?

If you have a diode check setting on your meter that is the best way. If not put your meter on ohms and check for continuity across the diodes. Put the leads on either side of the diode and check. Now reverse the leads and try the other way. Should only have continuity in one direction

This bad boy here right?

I put the leads every possible way on my ohms setting and then also with my buzzer sound setting and got nothing either way.

Put one lead in the pin 9 hole with the single black wire then probe pin 2 and 3 with the other lead. Now reverse the leads and probe again. You should get continuity in only one direction

Yessir I get nothing either way when I do that, no readings whatsoever.

So this controller was pulled from a cart that had no problems going reverse or forward.

This cart has had two stock Curtis controllers put through that were verified to be working correctly and still have no reverse. I want to say that this is something that isn’t controller related or motor related but I can’t find what it is. I also have verified that the FNR switch is working correctly too.

Motor readings: When in reverse I’m getting pack voltage to A1 A2 and only 1-2 volts to S1 S2.

When in forward I get pack voltage to A1 A2 and 13.2 volts to S1 S2

Basically what I have come up with is that I am not getting Battery positive to the solenoid when the cart is in reverse. The yellow wire is fed pack voltage when the cart is in forward but as soon as I flip it too reverse I lose all voltage to yellow wire on solenoid.

I think that would point to controller but I can use switch this controller over to a different cart and it works as should. That’s what I don’t understand.

Where am I losing voltage at that feeds the yellow wire?

Are you swapping the adapter harness as well?
Are you swapping the adapter harness as well?[/

I used the same harness in each cart. One works one doesn’t.

I tried one more time just for my sanity.

I switch the controllers out and put it on a different cart. Used the same harness. It works perfect, as should.

I measure the voltage in reverse on the working cart on the ten pen DCX Harness just to compare:

Cart working as should:

Pin 1: 10.7
Pin 2: 0
Pin 3: 0
Pin 4: Pack Voltage 50.3
Pin 5: 0
Pin 6: Pack Voltage 50.3
Pin 7: Pack Voltage 50.3
Pin 8: No wire
Pin 9: Pack Voltage 50.3
Pin 10: Pack Voltage 50.3

Cart with no reverse:

Pin 1: .7
Pin 2: 0
Pin 3: 0
Pin 4: Pack Voltage 50.2
Pin 5: 0
Pin 6: 0
Pin 7: 0
Pin 8: No wire
Pin 9: Pack Voltage 50.2
Pin 10: Pack Voltage 50.2

So both carts, key on, in reverse, there is three differences:
Pin 1: .7 vs 10.3
Pin 6: 0 vs 50.2
Pin 7: 0 vs 50.2
