Need help identifying electric Ez Go year/model
Kids and I are attempting to restore an older electric Ez Go. It has a metal body, 2 seat back cushions, and solid state speed control. I thought we had it narrowed down to a 91 1/2-93 Marathon. However, I need to replace the steering control mechanism and the one I found for a 71-94 Marathon doesn't look right. I've attached some pics that'll hopefully help. Thanks!

Sorry I can’t help you with any other model info other than what Imapled said. What I find interesting is you have a GE motor that has a max RPM of 8000, that’s crazy! I thought stock motors were only good for 6000-6500 RPM before the blow. And it’s only 2hp.

1989 - 1994 Ezgo Marathon. The year of production is the last 2 digits in the Manufacture code.

No, probably is the stock motor. I just never seen a stock motor with a 8000rpm maximum. Most of the stock motors I’ve seen are only 2 to something like 3.5 hp.

Gotcha. Sounds like its on the low end for power and speed then. May need a rebuild this winter.
