Angry Ez go 2five won't show battery and reverse buzz dies out

Hello,
I bought an ez go 2five 2010 not running and was told all it needed was batteries and new brake calipers. We have put new batteries in it and it still won't run. When we flip the key the screen comes on and the reverse buzz comes on even when it is flipped to forward but the batteries show dead on the screen even though they have full battery, and the reverse buzz dies out like it is losing power. We have replaced the motor brake and the solenoid (got a new solinoid for newer carts not sure if that makes a difference). We do not know what the problem is. We are hoping it is just something electrical. We have been following the manual for putting parts on. Please help any advice is great! We got a multi meter power tester but we don't really know how to use it or where to test.

I'd start with the wiring harness. The early units had issues with corrosion at the connectors and sonic welds. Best way to inspect it is to remove the body, dash and floor. That way the harness can be pulled out for inspection. If that's not possible, pull the batteries and remove the plastic loom protecting the harness. You'll see three sonic welds (wire connection points), these are common places for corrosion. The red one is the 48V side and the orange is the 5 volt logic side. A poor connection there would cause your problems.

You said it needed new brake calipers ? Do you mean the motor brake ?

What is the coil voltage of the solenoid you installed ? That year should use a 36V one.

You may be better off sending it out for repair. You really need to understand electronic circuits to service those carts. They are not like any DC carts out there. One little slip of a meter lead or a misplaced probe will take out the controller.

I fully agree with cartdog, you'll need a minimum of understanding what you're doing or it can be expensive.

P.s
The 2five is an official LSV cart and has as far as i know additional hydraulic brakes.
