Default Ezgo dcs wiring question

1999 ezgo dcs the red/white wire from the ignition interlock has been ran from the run/tow switch to the positive side of the battery pack. My question is why may this have been done? Thanks

Not exactly sure, but it seems they were bypassing the reed switch, have you looked at the stickies in ezgo section for you wiring?

Oops. Good catch Rabbit. Like LH I just saw the red/white wire to B+ and assumed it was the Receptacle source..... but you caught it was the Run/Tow source which would be from the controller.

(See rabbits note below)

If the cart runs like this it should be okay but I would start saving up for a new controller in your future.

If that is a reed switch bypass, it is the strangest one I have ever heard of..... Sounds more like there was a fault in the controller that they are trying to bypass....

Yep, that's what the reed switch does. Disables the cart so you can't drive away while the charger is plugged into it.
