Anyone trailering two carts?
I am looking to get a bigger trailer to tow two carts. I am looking to see if anyone is doing this currently. I'm interested in knowing what size trailer I would need to start looking for.

Re: Anyone trailering two carts?
My cart barely fits in my old man's 8' pickup bed. I say you're looking for at least 16' long. Probably with a solid floor, since the tracks of an average car hauler are likely too wide for a golf cart. I suppose one 8'w x 8'l would get the job done, if your roads aren't too narrow.

Me and bokeasmowl pulled 2 to Carolina adventure world. I'll have to ask him what size it was.

Re: Anyone trailering two carts?
Here's an idea, I'm not recomending
The trailer is 14' long. The workhorse is a little over 9' long. If the trailer were 15' long it would fit 2 carts end to end. 16' would be better. |

Park them as close together as you would want then tied down at. Get a tape measure and check the total length, buy one a couple feet longer.....
There are trailers designed to be loaded from the side....normally for lawn equipment. Might work better for you. |

Re: Anyone trailering two carts?
I do it on a 16 foot car hauler, 18 would be ideal. And stay away from the heavy trailers and anything with side rails or attached ramps. This will give you the most versatility. As Essness mentioned already the workhorse is 9', add a rear seat platform and they can be 10+ ft. Try to load 2 of those on your trailer, you will run out of room fast. Don't forget the first cart can be backed on and the next cart driven head on. Most carts will hit tires to tires.
Strap the axles together and strap rear axle of the first cart forward and the second cart rear-ward and they should stay... nothing wrong with a few extra straps. Only pic I could find has a Rhino and a workhorse on a 16 ft deck. |
