I originally left the bottom flat section in and cut top out. But had to cut the bottom out because I still couldn't get the sleeve to fit.

My converter arrived earlier today. Won't get to install it until this Sunday. B-day party and 5k run this Saturday.
But check it out!

That's interesting. So they have you running a switch to the load of the converter and then another switch to the 12v load of the appliance you're running, in your case the radio. I wonder why you can't just keep the converter under power at all times. If it doesn't have a draw on it, does it still consume power?

Hey Razor,
I'm going to mount a relay to turn on/off the converter with the switch.
As for the radio, underbody lights and any acc. I'm going to add a toggle on the dash so I turn on/off when I need....

Dawg,
It's bigger than I thought it would be, but it will fit under the seat just fine. I'm going to have a flat plate cut to cover where it's sitting in the pic and attach there.

When hooking up a stereo, battery meter directly to the battery pack, does the run/tow switch need to be switched to tow?

I suggest you always switch it to TOW when doing any work in the cart. Stray voltage could fry your controller.

Yea, I switch it to tow when I open the seat and plan on doing anything. I'm making it a habit!

Also, the converter I purchased doesn't require the relay switch because I believe it has on built in. I'm going to contact the manufacturer to double check.

And what I'm seeing in most DIY videos they are disconnecting the negative cables on the batteries before making any connections.

I received my speaker pods from customspeakerpods.com yesterday for 6-1/2" speaker. Installed them only to find out that my Polk Audio 6-1/2" speakers are just a bit smaller that the opening that was cut out in the pod!
But guess what! I emailed Brandon at customspeakerpods.com and he is shipping out a new set with smaller opening no problem! Awesome guy to do business with for sure!
