I have really debated. I know I'm gonna switch battery trays and go with 8 volt batteries. Do I want an inverter since I'm adding wait and lead along with extra batteries, or add a seperate 12 volt to run accesories and add 3 batteries total?

I went with a converter. I didn't want the trouble of charging an additional battery, nor the weight.

MiltonC, This is off topic for this thread but I see on your pic you have the finder flares. I thought about adding them but my local dealer thought they were ugly, sorry no offense. Could you send me some close up pics of yours. I hate it when I get on a muddy road and have to drive slow forever to avoid slinging mud everywhere. I am also leaning towards the inverter especially since I am adding 2 batteries already. The extra lead should more than compensate for the extra drain.

I will replace my 4 X 12s with 6 X 8s when they fail.

I will send you a PM with the pics.
