Re: Upgrade Precedent shocks
That's gonna be tough. On a vehicle as light as a golf car it's gonna be hard to find a shock that'll do anything for you. Spring rates would be more along the lines of something to look at to modify the way it rides and handles. Shocks just keep it from bouncing when it hits a bump.

Re: Upgrade Precedent shocks
Somewhere I read that rear shocks for an early Mustang (eg. 1966) would fit. I'd like to try something like these coil over shocks to provide a little extra load capacity now that I have a rear seat:
Search JCWhitney for SKU #: JCW- 1022893 I need to do some measuring first. Les |

Re: Upgrade Precedent shocks
following because I put a 6" lift on mine and the rear shocks have no travel at all, well for that matter neither do my front shocks. Wheels come off the ground on any good size bump! no suspension at all!

Re: Upgrade Precedent shocks
Unless you buy the long travel lift kit, that's what you're gonna have to deal with. Golf cars have very little suspension travel.
