Default Microswitch

My accelerator micro switch is bad. Could anyone tell me if it can be wired backwards. Roller switch with two contact points. One side has wire from shifter roller switch and wire to controller. Other contact has wire to solenoid. Does it matter which side of micro these wires connect to? Thanks

A switch is ignorant of polarity. Any way will work.

It doesn't actually matter, but the wire coming from the voltage source is usually connected to the "C" (Common) terminal.
