Default update, Re: 1992 36V EZ Go, Textron charger wont come on, batteries too low?

Thanks again guys! After charging until charger turned off and allowing time to rest each batt is holding at about 6.27 and the pack is at 37.7

"excersise" those batts a little. Run them some (short trips first, don't wanna walk home), fully charge them, repeat. You Will need to montior the individual voltages to be sure they are all close to the same. 0.5 volts MAX difference on charge after a few charges. The closer voltage they are to each other, the better your chances are. After a few charges and short drives, any individual battery that is 0.25 volt lower than the others at rest are problems. Some will disagree with me, but you have a chance to revive them. They will likely never be as good as they once were, but they are not destined for the scrapper yet. I have seen entire packs at 7 volts come back and run passing scores with a little TLC. Have they been damaged, Yes! Has the number of years they will last been reduced, For sure. If you dont plan on using them to golf 18 holes every day for the next few years, you may be able to salvage some life out of them. I am not of the crowd who says "throw them in the dumpster now!". Hopefully you can revive them some, and try harder to care for your expensive batteries better in the future.
