Got a cart today and it does not run,i have read the sticky and still cant find the problem on why it will not start.

1,im getting little over 12v on my battery
2.Solinoid clicks
3,checked for loose wires and checked the 2 fuses up by the reverse buzzer
4.Got my meter and put 1probe on the genorator pos and the other to the neg and its getting 12v
5.I changed the switch by the pedal still nothing

Did you have full battery voltage at the negative battery connection and at the positive jumper lead when the pedal was pushed at the starter/generator? If so, starter problem, maybe brushes.

I don't think i did that, so your saying put my probe on the neg of battery and the other probe on the (red wire) on the switch by the pedal?

Or the probe on the neg of the battery and the other on the pos of the generator then push the pedal ??

Negative battery cable goes to the brush end plate on the S/G (A1), put your negative probe on the post. Yes, put your positive probe on the the lead from the solenoid at the S/G (F2). Then test with pedal pushed.

Now, put your positive probe on the battery postive post. The negative probe on the negative battery cable "at the starter/generator" and push the pedal. Did it stay full battery voltage? Alos pot the positive lead on the solenoid post that comes directly from the battery and push the pedal. Full battery voltage? If so, bad solenoid.
