110 is a good reading we can rule that out have you taken the carb off and gave it a good cleaning? Run the cart for a bit and pull the spark plug see what it looks like should be a cardboard brown color if it's black and/or wet that electric pump is probably pushing fuel past the needle and seat and dumping to much fuel in. If spark plug looks good and carb is clean I would inspect the clutches

When you did the crank seal on the flywheel side there is a plate with coils there is a mark on it that needs to be lined up with the mark on the case of the motor if you just slapped it back on after changing the seals and didnt line up the marks your timing will be off

Thumbs down Re: Yamaha g1 pump question

Okay timing is right on. New spark plug. Pulled clutch and all is right there. It starts great, runs but never seems to spin all the way up just moves very very slow and no power. Neighbor seems to think that even with 110 pressure may have either a bad head gasket or reed valve problem. Your thoughts??

Pull the muffler off and check compression if it's considerably lower than its a plugged muffler if it's still 110 I doubt it's the head gasket.......if the reed valve isn't working correctly it will be spitting fuel out the front of the carb pull off the air intake house at the carb and see if that's dry
