This info can be helpful for anyone who is installing a jakes 6" lift for a Yamaha G1. I have installed most of the components for the lift kit. Some info not in the directions is you have to offset the front shocks and I drilled out the lower holes to fit my shocks with bigger eyes. The back has to be notched for the mounts to fit. I hope the pics show enough detail. I can answer some question when and if they arise.

Looks great so far. I have 3 G 1 carts waiting for my attention but it will be awhile until I get to them. I have been stock piling g1 parts for a while now, just can't find roof struts for the wife's g1.

You shocks really look cool

That looks awesome...can't wait for new pictures of this cart. Where did you get those shocks at?

Looks very well done!

I'm anxious to get your impression of the handling with those shocks. Hopefully they are as stiff as the stock versions. I used the very same kit with some atv shocks and wasn't very happy with the results.

The shocks are adjustable. They are on the lowest setting. I am still not sure about the rear shocks. I would like to have a seat on the back.
