2001 gas lift
I have an 01 DS gas . I bought it at a farm show painted all up in JD Colors . It apparently has a 3 " spindle lift kit ? I do not like the setup . The wheel is high and in your chest . There are 3 u joints between the shaft and the steering . If the left front wheel hits any object it will jerk the wheel out of your hand . Is an a arm kit what I need . I have got along with it , but the grandsons are coming ON HARD AND FAST . Springbok , Lockman , you out there ?

re: 2001 gas lift
Yeah... I had to hang on TIGHT when off-roading with my Jake's 3" spindle lift!
My last experience with it was when I bumped a bolder with my drivers side tire, It ripped the steering wheel out of my hand, and my left wrist was sore for 3 days after! Though it served me well for 5 years, sadly, I bent that spindle, so I installed an A-arm lift (2 lifts actually). I haven't done much off-roading since I've installed it, so I can't really give you a comparison between the two just yet... I'm at least hoping that it'll be better now! .02 |

Re: 2001 gas lift
This first one was a Madjax 3 1/2"... but it broke almost right away, Madjax sent me a replacement part,
But... I just ended up replacing the whole thing with an All Sports 4" Super Sport. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...mans-lynx.html http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...s-lynx-ii.html |

Re: 2001 gas lift
That's a great question!
MadJax, All Sports, and Jake's lifts are all "stout" lifts! I... had a problem with my MadJax lift, My buddy... had a problem with his All Sports lift, So far, I haven't heard many complaints about Jake's lifts! (except maybe having to drill out the hole for the tie rod ends) Maybe you should try a 4" Jake's double a-arm... (I've already been through 2 other brands!) and then maybe you can tell me what lift I should get! |

Re: 2001 gas lift
Thanks again . I see know I have a RHOX lift . Where the bottom spring bolts to the spindle mount there are 2 rubber bushings with a sleeve in them for the bolt . The rubbers are gone . Should I call rhox or are they cc parts ? Thanks for your help Don .

Re: 2001 gas lift
If you have a spindle lift,
The front leaf spring, and Delta arm bushings are CC items... Most of BGW's fine sponsors will have them! |
