91 ezgo 3pg no start reverse

I got a cart that will turn over and start in forward but will not turn over in reverse.
The A and B leads to the generator have power to the starter when in forward and hit the pedal, but in reverse none of the leads have power.
Any help or guidance would help

Well if I put the 2 wires together coming out of the micro switch it will turn over in forward and reverse
So I think it is the micro switch, the only issue I have is I switched it out with another micro switch and it would only start in forward
Could I have another problem?
Is their a way to test a micro switch with a dmm?

Is their any harm in running the cart without th micro switch
Unrelated problem compression (wet wd40 in cylinder) is 120 forward and 92 reverse.
Any body have an idea why?

Just a guess here... is it cranking faster in forward than it is in reverse?

Could be it does crank faster in forward.
When I checked it dry it only had 90 forward or reverse

Update. The problem was with a bad micro switch.

Update the engine did not have enough power.
Pulled engine, new piston and rings.
New seals loctited in.
Runs much better now.
The intermittent starting came back, turned out to be a bad wire from forward reverse to generator
