Default So I bought G1 "scorched earth"

Picked this up for parts today and named her accordingly. The frame is shot! And it's a j17 to top it off.....
Has the top frame I wanted, was hoping the dang thing had hand rails. Still need to find a good exhaust and a primary

Picked clean. Man this thing was roached. shocks leaking oil, holes in the frame and swing arm. the rear bumper mounting had rotted off and they made a decent bracket and remounted it, if I had torches id probably have cut off.
got some replacement front end parts my g1 may need when I straighten out the home made lift situation. looks like the coil wires had rubbed and grounded out, all melty looking. terrible to say I cant test compression as I lent out my tester. I am going to use the front cowl as mine has been cut into for headights that are in rough shape.

You need a sawsall, I have a $30 one and with good blades I can chop up 1/4" steel. Tubing is no problem once you get the hang of running one. They can be very handy.

Wow is that poor thing rusty!

I tried a compression test and it was all over the place. At this point the condition is unknown until I get time to dig deeper. This thing was rough had I paid better attention I should have paid less.

I just put the comet duster 94c in and is working good so far. If you lift your cart it will clear the frame with the cover off.
