Re: G16 possible primary clutch issue
Clean everything, make sure new rollers can spin freely, maybe a little teflon spray, but nothing that stays wet. Will need the remove clutch for disassembly (requires special bolt tool to remove). When you get the clutch in a vise (rollers & spider facing up), You will need to get/make a tool to loosen the spider on top, it's threaded on & has locktite on it. Just a little heat will help.

Re: G16 possible primary clutch issue
I did this job myself when I first got my cart. I found in my case that a fixture for securing the sheave while screwing the spider off was necessary. Without that fixture I could find no good way to hold the clutch without damaging it. (I'm sure the experts here will have a better way). Even with heat that spider is really on tight !!. Also, I believe there may be a special tool for grabbing the spider, but in my case I used a giant pipe wrench which luckily worked. Good luck - RAY

Re: G16 possible primary clutch issue
Here's the removal tool for the spider, and how to put the clutch in the vice.

Re: G16 possible primary clutch issue
Good info. here! Thanks ,cgtech, for the pics. Now that I recall, when I did it my fixture was for holding the spider and my B.F. Pipe Wrench replaced the vice. You show the better way. - RAY
