Just disconnect the white wire with the black tracer on the passenger side by the dip stick tube. That will isolate the issue to the motor or a problem out side from the motor.

You’re in the home stretch now. The fact that there’s no change with the white/black wire disconnected eliminates lots of possibilities. Now it’s probably the coil itself, but in rare instances I’ve seen the small black wire off the “kill” side of the coil rub through the insulation and ground out the spark. To do either you’ll have to pull the exhaust and get the engine shroud on the drivers side pulled off or back enough to reach them.

Already replaced the coil. Will start tracing wire back to look for grounded place. Thanks

Did you replace it with the 100$ factory coil?

No, but it looks exactly like the other one.

If I unplug the wire on the coil should that eliminate all wiring possibilities?

That means it isolated to the motor.
Coil
RPM limiter
broken ground wire

If you used after market coil- all bets are off- could still be a bad coil

Got it from a golf cart part supplier.

What about if I unplug the wire from the coil it should not be grounded anywhere, right??

Did the coil come in a green Kawaski box? I hate chasing my tail. This is the easiest motor to figure out. Non OEM coil, means you need to go buy a OEM coil.
