Instead of using a wire tye on the governor for more speed -- why not loosen the pinch bolt on the governor lever so it slips on the shaft. You can always tighten it in the future if you want to use the governor.

Because my DH has the “need for speed” syndrome and he’ll blow it up without a governor.
