Yamaha G16 1996 runs good for about 5 mins then dies
My 1996 G16 runs good for about 5 mins and then quits. I can pump the gas and it will try to go. I will wait about 1 min and then it will go again for approximately 3 mins, then the same again. I have tried 2 separate carbs and both do the same thing. What could be the issue?

Hook up a spark detector, run it till it quits, then check for spark. I'm guessing the TCI (coil) is bad. If so, buy OEM. JN6-85640-01-00. Aftermarket are usually junk.
